Outpatient Rehabilitation Patient Account Registrar

We are seeking an Outpatient Rehabilitation Patient Account Registrar, sometimes referred to as an Admission Representative for Outpatient Rehabilitation. The Outpatient Rehabilitation Patient Account Registrar (Outpatient Rehab PAR) will support the Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy Departments. The Account Registrar will ensure patients are accurately registered, authorized, and billed for their rehabilitation services. Days are flexible: we are open 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on FridaysEssential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Greet and register patients for physical, occupational, or speech therapy, verifying identity, insurance, and physician ordersConfirm insurance coverage, obtain pre-authorizations, and collect copays or self-pay amounts at check-inSchedule therapy evaluations, follow-up visits, and coordinates changes or cancellations with patients and therapistsEnsure all required documentation and authorizations are complete, accurate, and scanned into the electronic health recordProvide excellent customer service by assisting patients, therapists, and physicians with questions and registration or billing needsEducation and Work ExperienceBefore we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
