This position requires high-quality customer service, champions process improvement, and uses advanced knowledge of HR policies, procedures, standards, and legal requirements.The People Operations Business Partner (HRBP) role works with all functions but plays a key role in the day-to-day coordination of People Operations, including Team Member relations, ADA accommodations, and advising on policies. Occasional flexibility to meet the needs of our 24/7 teams.Location: Hybrid role, with travel throughout the Greater Seattle and surrounding areas. Primary office is located in Tukwila, WA.We are accepting applications until 5:00pm on Thursday, October 23 .ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF THE POSITIONDeliver day-to-day assistance, support, and sound consultation and guidance with Team Members and managers in various areas of People Operations (human resources). Provide day-to-day People Operations (human resources) support in a union environment.Support Team Member relations efforts, addressing concerns, conducting investigations, and promoting positive workplace culture.Respond promptly to People Operations’ issues such as Team Member inquiries, complaints, harassment, allegations, or discrimination concerns. Perform internal investigations as appropriate for complaints or concerns that are brought forth.Coach and counsel People Managers and Team Members on People Operations policies and procedures, employment laws, and government regulations.Analyze trends in Team Member relations to identify root causes and recommend proactive solutions that support engagement, performance, and retention.Serves as the first point of contact for general inquiries from team members and management, and responds appropriately, adhering to team member policies and proceduresProvides strategic partnership and guidance to organizational leaders within the scope of a People Operations role.Balance business needs, Team Member experience, and organizational risk to drive thoughtful decision-making.Act as ADA Coordinator for internal ADA requests, ensuring timely engagement with members who may need or request accommodation.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.Assists with the unemployment claims process, as directed.Prepare HR documents, such as employment contracts and disciplinary actions.Administer day-to-day People Operations, including maintaining Team Member records and HRIS data.Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and demonstrate a high level of professionalism.Participate in People Operations projects, reporting, metrics, committees, and initiatives as assigned.Other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESHigh Attention to DetailFamiliarity with HR information systems.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including speaking and presenting to groups of peopleDemonstrated organizational, time management, and project management skillsAbility to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated proficiency and experience with all Microsoft Office products (Required).Perform all functions of the job with accuracy and within established timeframes with minimal supervision.Demonstrate professional courtesy to others and the ability to maintain confidentialityStrong analytical skills and the ability to interpret, evaluate, and formulate action plans based upon dataCollaborate with others in a respectful mannerMeet attendance and punctuality standardsEssential functions are the basic job duties that a team member must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation.SENSORY/PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTSSensory:Speaking; hearing (with or without assistance); near vision, far vision, depth perception, peripheral vision (with or without assistance); touch; smell; and balance.Physical:Extended periods of sitting, computer use, talking, and possibly standingSimple grasp, firm grasp, fine manipulation, pinch, finger dexterity, supination/pronation, wrist flexionFrequent torso/back static position; occasional stooping, bending, and twistingSome kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying (not over 25 pounds), twisting, and reachingMENTAL:Ability to learn and prioritize multiple tasks at a given time and have the capability of handling demanding situations. Continued employment remains on an at-will basisEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor’s preferred in relevant field, Human Resources, Business, or Communications ideal; equivalent experience consideredMinimum of a High School Diploma or GED requiredBrings a minimum of six years of Human Resources experience, including direct experience with ADA accommodations.Experience in a unionized environment or in a labor relations capacity is preferred.High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.SharePoint, a plusLICENSE, CERTIFICATION, AND TRAININGHuman Resources Certificate preferred.
