Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of operational accounting while working closely with the company owner in a one-person accounting department. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with expertise in QuickBooks Online to contribute to a dynamic and established organization. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage the full cycle of accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) processes. u2022 Reconcile bank deposits and download transactions using QuickBooks Online. u2022 Perform data entry, general ledger reconciliations, and prepare journal entries. u2022 Handle specialized billing tasks with provided training and process credit card transactions. u2022 Manage bills of lading and transfer dispatch invoices to the tracking system. u2022 Conduct basic collections and maintain organized filing systems for accounting records. u2022 Assist with payroll processes, including managing payroll for permanent, part-time, and contract employees in a specialized system. u2022 Ensure compliance with accounting standards and deadlines while working independently. u2022 Provide support for cash flow analysis and annual budget preparation. u2022 Collaborate with the owner to streamline accounting operations and address any financial discrepancies. Requirements u2022 Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is essential. u2022 Strong knowledge of operational accounting principles and practices. u2022 At least 3 years of experience in data entry, reconciliation, and journal entry preparation. u2022 Familiarity with dispatch operations and bills of lading is preferred but not required. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities effectively. u2022 Competence in computerized accounting systems and Microsoft Excel. u2022 Experience with payroll systems, such as ADP or similar platforms, is beneficial.
