Description Summary: We are accepting applications for Travel Technicians to work at various locations across the United States. This job is 100% travel and will consist of installing low voltage wiring and equipment such as IP cameras, Wireless Access Points, Routers, Switches, etc. Qualified candidates should expect to be on the road anywhere from 2 u2013 8 months at a time. We are seeking a self-starter who can work well with a partner 6 days a week. The Travel Technician will be teamed up with a partner who will travel and work with them for the duration of the project. If you have someone in mind that you would want to travel with, we would consider them as well. Responsibilities: u2022 Pull and terminate low voltage cable. u2022 Installing network equipment within commercial settings. u2022 Follow instructions and code when pulling cable. u2022 Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work. u2022 Ensuring all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations. u2022 Installing of cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and inner duct. u2022 Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed cable systems and component devices are operational. u2022 Troubleshoot issues with the cable network. u2022 Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign. u2022 Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by the client, their customers, or OSHA. u2022 Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign. Skills low voltage, installation, wap, install, cctv, cable, cat5, cat6, Cabling, Cable installation, Cable puller, wireless access point, access control, punchdown, telecommunication, troubleshooting Top Skills Details low voltage,installation,wap,install,cctv,cable,cat5,cat6 Additional Skills & Qualifications Requirements: u2022 Experience as a Data Cable Technician. u2022 Available for extensive travel nationwide. u2022 Ability to prioritize tasks. u2022 Able to lift and carry 50 pounds or more multiple times per shift. u2022 Ability to work in cramped spaces. u2022 Hours of project 7 pm - 7 am 5 days a week. u2022 Ability and willingness to travel to Lowell, AR for new hire orientation. u2022 100% travel of the USA u2022 Ability to operate a scissor lift; and ability to work at heights. u2022 Able to fill out the work order and take care of the tools provided by the office to do the job. u2022 Abide by PPE requirements. Company provides hard hat, vest, and safety glasses. Must provide your own steel-toed boots. u2022 Tools required by the technicians: hand tools, screwdrivers (both standard and Phillips), snips, punch down (impact), toner and probe, pliers, adjustable wrenches, joint pliers, and lineman pliers. u2022 Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years. Benefits: u2022 Per-Diem paid $125 a day for food and lodging (or alternatively lodging can be prepaid booked for you and in that case per diem is $45/day to cover food). u2022 Company vehicle provided (traveling with a partner) #WRO Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
