Job Description The Global Physical Security (GPS) Data Center Systems Team manages technology enabling the GPS Operations Data Center Team to provide physical protection to Data Center property, assets, and infrastructure. Oracle utilizes internally owned Data Center locations and third-party external Data Centers managed by Co-Location service providers. Oracle is seeking a highly experienced and multi-talented Director of Data Center Security Systems to join our team. This new position will be responsible for project oversight of the current Data Center implementation, development and management of a dedicated team supporting the production Data Center Security Systems across NAM. Working with stakeholders outside of GPS, the Initial focus will be the direction of security systems as Oracle constructs hyperscale DCs and the development of technical support teams across the Oracle Hyperscale portfolio. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Provide operational direction and oversight so that the GPS strategic initiatives, in relation to the Data Center operational security program, are maintained consistently. These initiatives include, but are not limited to: u2022 Management of the Data Center Security Systems Support Team, including the sourcing of appropriate contracted staff. u2022 Provides Project Management services as required, liaising closely with the implementation team. Providing oversight to senior management, attending progress meetings, taking a hands-on approach to project delivery. u2022 Provides mentoring, development, and guidance the Data Center Systems Support Team members. u2022 Provides monthly service ticket statistical data and analysis thereof. u2022 Meets customer service financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing the annual service, and operating budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. Also includes the processing of vendor invoicing and payment plans. u2022 Works closely with cross functional support teams to ensure that service is compliant with all requirements. u2022 Provides technical support for Lenel Access Control and CCTV, Key management, and all other technical systems as required. u2022 Partners with Oracle Lines of Business and external audit regulatory bodies to ensure physical security compliance with diverse auditory requirements; including, but not limited, to SSAE 18, ISO, NIST and PCI. u2022 Customer Service - providing quality advice to Oracle employees on all aspects of Physical Security as it applies to Data Center security. 2. Working with 3rd party security service providers to maintain oversight for the recruitment, selection, orientation, training, development and retention of high caliber security systems and technical support staff. u2022 Maintains recognized industry standard physical and technical security best practices by ensuring a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; ensures that staff members understand and comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. u2022 Performs additional functions as directed by the VP Global DC Ops & Systems as necessary to achieve assigned business objectives. Responsibilities 1. Managerial: u2022 Required to have a minimum 15 yearsu2019 experience within the Security Systems industry. Will have gained extensive management experience within Corporate Data Center environments. u2022 Highly skilled in technical delivery, project management and team management u2013 will have ideally gained experience in installation, support, and maintenance disciplines. u2022 Possesses a proven track record in both Security Systems Service and Support Management. u2022 Minimum 5 yearsu2019 experience in a similar role successfully managing Physical Security Systems within Corporate Data Center environments, providing team leadership, mentoring and management. u2022 Must be self-motivated and innovative, but equally comfortable working within a team or alone and requiring minimal supervision. u2022 Must be a team player, ideally with global exposure to working with individuals from different cultures, backgrounds, and experiences. u2022 Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills. u2022 Ability to communicate and articulate with a high level of proficiency in both the written and verbal format at all levels, up to and including Corporate Executive leadership. 2. Technical: u2022 Strong understanding of industry specific service and compliance requirements as they apply to physical security systems in general and specific to Data Center Security Systems. u2022 Proven background in the delivery of Data Center physical security projects. u2022 Detailed knowledge of Lenel OnGuard, Milestone IP CCTV and AXIS CCTV solutions is absolute. u2022 Exposure to Intruder Alarm Systems and additional Access Control Systems, Biometric solutions and locking hardware are extremely desirable. u2022 Thorough understand of Lenel + Milestone programming techniques u2013 possessing a high depth of experience in deploying and supporting systems into Security Operational Centers (SOCu2019s). u2022 Will have gained experience in delivery and management of technical solutions in highly complex and demanding environments. u2022 Highly proficient with all basic Microsoft computer software programs and communications techniques. u2022 Oversees constant Alarm Reduction and System Health Check programs. u2022 Oversees System upgrade and enhancement programs. u2022 Detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Desktop and Server Operating Systems u2022 Detailed working knowledge of IT networks - LAN/WAN, Intranet/Internet, Firewalls u2022 Working knowledge of Microsoft Word Processing & Spreadsheet skills are absolutely required. u2022 Professional Associations within Security Industry such as ASIS Membership & CPP Licenses are desirable but not required. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY, IMPACT OF DECISIONS AND DEGREE OF SUPERVISION: u2022 The Data Center Security Systems Directoru2019s scope of responsibility will be regional initially but may grow to be global as the Oracle DC portfolio expands. u2022 Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. This is a Director role requiring minimal direct supervision, which provides direction and mentorship to a FTE and contracted team. The role carries a high degree of responsibility and operational impact on the business function. The qualified candidate will report directly to the GPS VP Global DC Ops & Systems. Conduct analysis of business needs and identify programs & services required to meet those needs. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
