Staff Accountant

Description A fast-growing manufacturing company in Carlsbad is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their collaborative finance team. Key Responsibilities + Support the month-end and year-end close process through journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. + Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately coded and compliant with internal controls. + Assist with inventory tracking, cost accounting, and manufacturing-related financial analysis. + Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and production teams to ensure accounting accuracy for materials, COGS, and work orders. + Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation. + Participate in internal audits and process improvement initiatives. Requirements + Associateu2019s or Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting or Finance (required). + 2+ years of experience in general accounting or a similar role. + Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting procedures. + Prior experience in a manufacturing or production-based company is required. + Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas) and familiarity with accounting ERP systems. + Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
