Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our client in Hayward, California. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing organization in the healthcare and social assistance industry. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial analysis, reporting, and accounting operations to support their expanding programs and locations. This is a FULLY REMOTE position. Local candidates are required for occasional on-site meetings and events. Responsibilities: u2022 Analyze accounts payable and expense trends to identify patterns and opportunities for improvement. u2022 Review accounts receivable revenue trends and update utilization metrics for organizational reporting. u2022 Prepare and evaluate financial statements, including profit and loss variance commentary. u2022 Distribute financial statements and utilization performance reports to relevant stakeholders. u2022 Facilitate budget versus actuals meetings and full-year forecast profit and loss discussions with directors. u2022 Generate restricted grant financial reports and perform detailed analytics. u2022 Conduct special financial analyses and research projects to support decision-making. u2022 Manage general ledger activities, including posting journal entries and maintaining accurate account reconciliations. u2022 Reconcile balance sheet accounts such as cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accruals. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting challenges and streamline processes.
