We are looking for you to join our team as a Quality Manager 2 based in Sunnyvale, CA . The Quality Manager will lead the Calibration Labs department. The manager should be knowledgeable in aerospace and/or military marine systems calibration requirements and will report directly to the site Product Assurance Manager. In this role, the Quality Manager collaborates with manufacturing and engineering functions to ensure quality standards are in place. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with manufacturing, maintenance or inspection assurance activities. The candidate will be required to have strong collaboration skills and demonstrated capability to partner cross-discipline/cross-function. The Quality Manger will be a key leader, and essential member of the Sunnyvale site leadership team supporting company operations. What you will get to do: + Provides overall management of Calibration Labs department by setting and operating to objectives, and providing guidance to direct reports based on goals, objectives, and company policy. + Collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Global Supply Chain to ensure quality is inherent in every requirement, design, work product, and end-product delivered by Northrop Grumman + Engages on the shop floor and in work activities to provide direct support as needed while additionally coaching and mentoring personnel in quality methods and procedures. + Assures compliance in program quality, risk management, safety, process improvement, subcontractor and supplier quality, configuration and data management in accordance with contractual requirements. + Occasional interface with executives and customer representatives, including on-site DCMA representatives, concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and contractual clarifications. + Maintains compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) policies, procedures, and processes to ensure the performance and quality of products conform to established standards, specifications and customer requirements. + Provide performance reviews and periodic feedback for all direct reports. Basic Qualifications for the Quality Manager 2: + Bacheloru2019s Degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience to include quality, manufacturing or inspection; OR 6 or more years in quality, manufacturing or inspection with a Masteru2019s degree; OR 12 or more years of relevant experience to include quality, manufacturing or inspection in lieu of a Bacheloru2019s degree + 1 or more years of experience in a team lead role or direct supervisory experience of people + Experience managing salaried and /or hourly employees. + Experience coaching and mentoring others in the use of quality principles and practices. + Experience in a manufacturing environment with Quality Assurance + Experience in inspecting products and structures. + Experience with MS office. + Ability to travel up to 10%. + The ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance + US Citizenship required Preferred Qualifications for the Quality Manager 2: + Experience with ISO 17025/ANSI Z540 + Experience in an Operations or Quality role within Manufacturing + Experience managing teams performing ISO 17025 accredited calibrations + Experience with inspections techniques and tests equipment. + Experience managing union employee Primary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
