Veterinary Client Service Representative

VCA Laguna Niguel Animal Hospital, located in the heart of the beautiful city of Laguna Niguel, is seeking an amazing candidate with veterinary reception experience for a full-time Client Service Representative position. We are a four-doctor primary care veterinary practice that offers wellness and sick appointments, preventative care, general surgery, and dental services. Our practice needs a friendly, caring and compassionate customer service oriented animal lover that will wow our clients and help our front desk run smoothly. DUTIES INCLUDE: u2022 Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms u2022 Scheduling and confirming appointments u2022 Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients u2022 Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments u2022 Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions u2022 Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control) u2022 Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence u2022 Supporting doctors, technicians, and management u2022 Driving VCA initiatives for positive client experience and retention u2022 Maintaining a clean, organized, and courteous environment for our clients and patients QUALIFICATIONS: u2022 Compassion for pets and peopleu2014as well as awareness and understanding of othersu2019 reactions u2022 Proven decision-making skills to choose the most appropriate course of action u2022 The ability to integrate new information into problem-solving u2022 The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste The pay range for this position is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience.
