No County Suffolk Street Address Belmont Lake State Park West Babylon Regional Warehouse & Fleet Management City Babylon State NY Zip Code 11703 Duties Description Under the supervision of higher-level personnel, the Park Worker 3 will perform the following tasks which include, but are not limited to the following:u2022 Process regional warehouse requisitions from facilities.u2022 Keep inventory of all warehouse items and submit needs to supervisor.u2022 Obtain quotes for items from preferred sources and contracted vendors.u2022 Work with park managers to compile list of yearly requirements, and patron use items.u2022 Assist with organizing and automating the warehouse.u2022 Assist with regional fleet purchases as needed.u2022 Assist with surplus equipment as needed.u2022 Perform other related duties as required. Minimum Qualifications One year of experience in the operation and / or maintenance of a park, historic site, golf course, or recreational facility. In addition to operations and maintenance, the following types of experience are also qualifying: law enforcement or security, firefighting, environmental education, environmental stewardship, natural resource management, forest management, wildlife management or preservation, or historic preservation or interpretation; OROne year of military service in any of the military branches; ORAn Associateu2019s or higher-level degree, or 60 credit hours of college level coursework; OR Completion of an appropriate two-year technical / trades school program or two years' experience as a trades assistant under the supervision of a skilled tradesperson.If verifiable, we will accept and prorate appropriate part-time and volunteer experience.
