Transmission Engineer

Job Description Our Transmission & Distribution division is looking for a staff Transmission Line Engineer to join our growing business in the Akron, Columbus, and St. Louis offices. Our Transmission Line Engineers are expected to maintain a high attention to detail, possess working knowledge of Transmission Line design, demonstrate ownership of their work, drive for continual improvement, and collaborate effectively with their team and clients in order to make our clients successful. Major responsibilities of the Transmission Line Engineer will include: u2003u2022 Design of high and extra-high voltage (69-500kV) transmission lines using PLS-CADD. u2003u2022 Prepare construction documents including plan and profile drawings, structure loading trees, and foundation assembly drawings. u2003u2022 Prepare specifications and project design criteria. u2003u2022 Provide field support during construction. u2003u2022 The ideal candidate will be able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients as well as provide technical leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members.
