Requisition #: 74701 The Role at a Glance The Role at a Glance As an Audit Analyst, you will lead and execute risk-based audits focusing on operational processes and regulatory compliance across the company. In this role, you will provide independent assurance and consultative services that add value and improve organizational operations by evaluating risk management, control, and governance processes. The Audit Analyst role offers an outstanding opportunity for professional growth and exposure through in-depth reviews of business processes from both operational and regulatory perspectives, while also providing exposure to Lincoln Financialu2019s Information Technology, Data Analytics, and Professional Practices audit teams. A strong understanding of operational processes and relevant laws and regulations, as well as the ability to communicate effectively across business functions, is essential. What you'll be doing What you'll be doing u2022 Lead end-to-end audit engagements of operational and compliance processes, including planning, identifying risks and control objectives, evaluating and testing controls, facilitating client meetings, and drafting deliverables in accordance with the internal audit methodology. u2022 Provide subject matter expertise, technical audit proficiency, and professional judgment to assess a broad range of business processes/objectives, risks, and control activities. u2022 Identify process improvement opportunities and provide practical, risk-based recommendations that strengthen controls and enhance operational efficiency. u2022 Conduct detailed work paper reviews and assume a key role in day-to-day interactions with team members to ensure work is completed on a timely basis and in conformance with department policies and procedures. u2022 Monitor and report on remediation activities of identified issues. u2022 Serve as a point of contact for external auditors and regulators (such as the Departments of Insurance) regarding their audit requirements. u2022 Foster a cohesive and collaborative team environment by interacting regularly with peers and maintaining strong relationships across the audit department and the company. u2022 Partner with risk management and other first and second line partners to establish strong working relationships, while maintaining independence. u2022 Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with key stakeholders, including various levels of management throughout the company, to foster collaboration and promote Internal Auditu2019s role as a value-added business partner. u2022 Stay current on industry regulations and best practices while continuously expanding knowledge of the companyu2019s products, operations, distribution systems, and regulatory obligations. u2022 Utilize automated software tools and keep abreast of current technology in the department and in the business/client areas. u2022 Apply the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission framework and International Professional Practices Framework to audit engagements. u2022 Carry out duties in compliance with the Institute of Internal Auditorsu2019 Global Audit Standards, state and federal regulations, and company policies and procedures. u2022 Perform other duties as required. What weu2019re looking for What weu2019re looking for Must-haves: u2022 3 - 5+ years of experience in Public Accounting, Internal Audit, Compliance, or a related field that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities of this position. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field. u2022 CIA, CAMS, CIPP, CIPM, CFE, or other relevant certifications as determined by management, or willingness to obtain such certifications within 2 - 3 years of employment. u2022 Experience and/or proficiency in: o Accounting, o Organizational, time management, and analytical skills, o General research and analysis, o Strong oral and written communications, o Anticipating, recognizing, and meeting customer needs, o Strong leadership skills and self-confidence, o Working independently and managing multiple priorities in a dead-line-driven environment, o A bias for action and driving performance targets/deliverables to completion. Nice-to-have: u2022 Sound knowledge of compliance, state, and federal regulations (such as privacy and anti-money laundering regulations). u2022 Strong knowledge of financial services, specifically the insurance industry and the key drivers of financial and operational performance. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincolnu2019s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.
