Details: --> We have an outstanding career opportunity for a CMT Department Manager to join a leading Company located in the Reno, NV surrounding area.Salary: $190,000 - $200,000The role of the CMT Department Manager will provide project management and oversight of CMT projects, as well as supervision of the CMT department.Responsibilities:Manage the full lifecycle of field services engineering projects and laboratory operationsLead a team of CMT engineers, project managers, and techniciansEnsure projects adhere to CMT engineering best practices, safety standards, and quality control proceduresPerform technical review of proposals, reports, and calculationsTrack department budget, revenue, forecasts, and financial performanceSet goals for the CMT/Field Services group and develop staff skills through training initiativesAssist senior staff with business development efforts through community involvement and client engagementAttend project meetings and troubleshoot problems in the fieldReview daily field reports from a technical oversightApprove weekly timesheets and department expense reportsPrepare invoicesFollow all safety procedures, policies, and protocolsVehicle maintenance, inspection, and adherence to safety policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedBasic Hiring Criteria:Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related degreeLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain licensure within 3 months of hireMinimum 6 years of experience in engineering and/or construction; includes both vertical and horizontal construction, reviewing construction documents, and overseeing implementation of engineering plans/specifications, quality assurance testing, confident in site grading observations through structural inspections, supervising construction materials testing, and project managementExcellent communication, leadership, and project management skillsStrong technical knowledge of testing procedures and specificationsExperience with budgets, forecasts, and financial managementKnowledge of construction materials, methods, ASTM standards, and soil classificationsKnowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to evaluate 'Request for Proposals,' attend site meetings, or converse with potential clients to develop a scope of services and associated cost estimateAbility to travel as neededValid Driver's License with acceptable driving recordBenefits offered to vary by the contract.
