Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Energy Finance

DescriptionThe AWS Infrastructure Finance team provides end-to-end financial support, driving AWS to be the lowest cost provider in Cloud computing and leader in customer experience. We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the AWS Energy & Sustainability Finance team within the AWS Infrastructure Finance organization. The AWS Energy team is responsible for (1) Delivering Energy to AWS Data Centers, (2) Procuring Carbon-Free Energy to support our sustainability goals, and (3) Developing our Sustainability and Carbon-Free Energy Strategy. Our team provides critical support in the form of financial valuation, investment decisions, and driving the global portfolio strategy for Amazonu2019s Energy portfolio. We are looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to support the end-to-end energy portfolio: energy deal valuation processes, financial planning and analysis (FP&A) reporting, energy opex and capex portfolio reporting, Month End Close processes, automation support, and more. Finance provides critical valuation support, thought leadership, financial acumen and controllership, and aids in critical decision making both at the deal and portfolio level. Our team owns the financial controllership processes and FP&A reporting and consolidation that scale with the portfoliou2019s growth. This includes utilities opex and energy market rate forecasting, energy and water capex forecasting, new region energy rate forecast, and partnership with the stakeholder teams (business teams, accounting, and technical product teams). Our team has invested in automation functionality for month end close and financial planning process, and we continue integrating our tools and systems to allow for end-to-end automation of our portfolio reporting. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market.
