Portfolio Analyst

DescriptionFirst Merchants Bank is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to join our team This position will perform portfolio monitoring tasks and assist in the timely and accurate risk grading of the commercial banking portfolio.Part of this role's duties and responsibilities include:Complete commercial credit monitoring functions for designated portfolio including:Review of covenant definitions detailed within the Credit Decision Summary prior to or commensurate with loan closing.Establish and maintain Client profiles within the covenant monitoring software.Assist the Commercial Lending Team with the collection of Financial Reporting Documents for completion of covenant testing.Ensure the timely and accurate filing of all covenant compliance certificates and supporting documentation in the bank's imaging plete loan covenant tests/grid rate pricing tests.Identify and communicate deteriorating financial performance and covenant noncompliance issues found during testing to department management.Maintain the Regional Covenant Past Due Report, as well as any other covenant reporting as needed.Support portfolio management, assist with loss prevention, identify risk and work delinquent loans up to 30 days.Monitor portfolio performance ensuring accuracy of credit ratings and identifying client performance.Reconcile credit agreements and covenant documentation to covenant test.Attend and participate in loan committees as order to be successful in this position, the following is required:Bachelor's degree.The following would be a plus:Bachelor's degree (or completion within current semester) in accounting, finance, or business.Proficient use of MS Office products including Word, Outlook and Excel.Adobe Acrobat experience and the ability to learn job-related software.First Merchants offers the following:Base Pay PLUS BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance401kHealth Savings and Flexible Spending AccountsVacation/Sick TimePaid HolidaysPaid Parental LeaveTuition ReimbursementAdditional BenefitsA little about us:First Merchants is guided by a genuine philosophy of being a meaningful place to work and having a prosperous impact across all walks of life throughout the communities we serve, including consumers, businesses and other organizations.
