The Engineering Productivity team owns Cribl's Software Development Lifecycle end-to-end and is a key carrier of our engineering culture.This role involves working with all Cribl Engineering and technical teams to create tools, standards, integrations and processes that enable engineering productivity, velocity, quality, governance and security.As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will...Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team dedicated to developing Engineering tools, standards and integrationsDrive velocity, throughput, quality, governance and security across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)Identify and build metrics, KPIs and SLOs for end-to-end engineering effectivenessChampion data-driven decision making while applying expert judgment and carefully considering customer and cross-functional needsFoster a culture of craft and technical excellence through tooling, processes and by setting high standards for design, code quality, and production robustnessBreak down a high-level strategy into actionable steps to realize the long-term vision while delivering business value at every interim stepTake a hands-on approach when needed, providing code reviews, architecture guidance, and technical support to unblock the teamDrive projects from concept to completion, including customer outreach, problem statement, idea generation, design, implementation, testing and adoptionFoster a customer-centric culture, ensuring the team remains focused on delivering exceptional tools, platforms and processes that delight engineersAttract, hire, and nurture top talent while promoting an inclusive and diverse team environmentCollaborate closely with other leaders to ensure alignment across cross-functional teams and achieve company-wide goalsBalance immediate problem-solving with long-term strategic planning to drive sustainable innovationThis position will require stand-by, on-call, or off-hours dutiesIf You've Got It - We Want ItProven experience leading distributed engineering teams with a focus on collaboration and effective deliveryExpertise in and passion for DevOps tools, productivity metrics and developer platformsBackground in building and deploying software within a SaaS environmentDemonstrated ability to hire, train, and mentor high-performing engineers, supporting all stages of software development and maintenanceExperience leading remote teams in a dynamic, Agile environment is a significant advantageTrack record of establishing and promoting strong engineering practices and processesComfortable working with customers to understand pain points and collaborate on improvementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, with 15+ years of industry experienceAt least 6+ years of experience in a technical leadership role as a team lead or engineering managerSalary Range ($225,000 - $325,000)The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location. The salary offered within the range des ribed will be based on the individual candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
