The Colonial Life Charity Classic is accepting applications for the 2026 Championship Internship. The Colonial Life Charity Classic is a PGA TOUR-sanctioned event on the Korn Ferry Tour, is conducted annually at The Woodcreek Club in Columbia, SC. The four-day, 72-hole competition features 156players from around the world competing for a total purse of $1,000,000. As the path to the PGA TOUR, the Korn Ferry Tour features some of the most talented professional golfers who are ready to compete ongolfu0027s biggest stage. The 2026 Colonial Life Charity Classic will be held May 13-17, 2026. The tournament is managed by Eventive Sports Properties, a nationwide sports management company based in Birmingham, ternship Overview:The Championship Interns will work alongside full-time championship staff on many aspects of the event. Primary areas of concentration will include operations and volunteers, as well as sales, and overall event execution. The ideal candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to work independently on multiple projects, and a willingness to go above and beyond for tournament stakeholders. Interns will be asked to take ownership of key projects and will gain strong professional experience. This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in sports management, marketing, communications, event management, or related fields.Championship Intern Responsibilities/Areas of Exposure:Operations+ Site Plan & On-Course Setup+ Signage Plan+ Hospitality Buildout+ Vendor Management+ Tour OperationsMarketing+ Social Media+ Promotions & Community Events+ Website+ Graphic DesignVolunteers/Event Management+ Volunteer Program Assistance+ Special Events+ Fan Activation+ Charitable ProgramSales+ Tickets & Credentials Assistance+ Asset Fulfillment+ Promotions & Community Events+ Hospitality & Sponsor ActivationChampionship Intern's Abilities, Skills, and Knowledge:Ability to multitask in a fast-paced team environment.Excellent people and organizational skills.Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently.Excellent verbal and written communication puter skills are mandatory.Ability to meet stringent deadlines and work under pressure.Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.Application Information:Internship is part of college curriculum/class credit only. This is an unpaid ternship timeframe: (flexible depending on availability) January through May 2026.Hours: For the first month or two, 10-20 hours per week, then increased hours thereafter.Must be able to work extended/irregular hours including nights and weekends as event approaches and during event. Most work hours will be in a typical office environment at Colonial Life Charity Classic's office.
