Biochemist Nanoparticle Contractor Job Title: Biochemist Location: Los Angeles (On-site) Duration: 2-Month Contract, Potential Extension Pay: $44-60/hr Position Overview Our client is seeking a professional biochemist to join an early-stage R&D project developing a novel pathogen detection device. The biochemist will play a key role in synthesizing and characterizing nanoparticles, working collaboratively with a nanoparticle expert and a microbiologist to drive the experimental phase forward. Key Responsibilities u2022Synthesize nanoparticles for use in a pathogen detection prototype u2022Collaborate closely with microbiologist and nanoparticle expert to align synthesis with biological targets u2022Operate and interpret data from Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) for nanoparticle characterization u2022Document experimental protocols, materials, and results in lab records Required Qualifications u2022Minimum of 2+ years hands-on experience in nanoparticle synthesis u2022Proficiency with TEM and SEM instrumentation and analysis u2022Background in biochemistry; additional experience or familiarity with microbiology is a strong plus u2022Able to operate independently with minimal training Once you apply, youu2019ll proceed to the next steps if your skills and experience match the requirements.
