JOB REQUIREMENTS: Data Test Engineer A Day in the Life: The Data TestEngineer plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliabilityof data infrastructure, user interfaces and services. This positionfocuses on validating data and requires attention to detail, ananalytical mindset and the ability to design and leverage high qualitytest cases. This position plays a vital role in deliveringfirst-in-class software products to our valued customer base. PrimaryResponsibilities: Automated Test Design Create and design automateddata test scenarios based on system specifications. Develop testscripts using environment appropriate tools to ensure data accuracy andconsistency. Develop automated testing strategies and providefeedback in analysis, design, implementation, and execution phases. Think creatively and brainstorm suggestions for developing, releasing,and maintenance of test procedures. Identify opportunities presentedin regression testing, ELT testing, browser testing, performancetesting, capacity and stress testing, resiliency testing, environmentmanagement services, and infrastructure testing. Confirm data andimplement data manipulation or modeling as needed. Defect Identification Investigate data quality defects thoroughly and document. Provideclear steps to reproduce issues along with precise definitions of theenvironment in which the defect was located. Test Documentation Maintain accurate test documentation, including test cases, test data,and test results. Communicate best practices in data testing andquality across teams. Collaboration Work closely with the SoftwareQuality Manager, Data Engineers, Developers, Product Owners, and otherstakeholders to drive towards higher software and data quality. Communicate effectively, honestly, and transparently to resolve issuespromptly. Collaborate with the team to improve testing processes. Participate in Quarterly Planning, Daily Stand-up, Review andRetrospective meetings. Be a positive influence for other teammembers; promote goodwill amongst IT and other departments of theorganization. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requestedor required. Essential to Your Success: Knowledgeable in Python andAWS Glue/Lamda. Solid understanding of SQL for data validation,analysis and test automation. Direct experience working in thefollowing systems: Version Control: Git CI/CD: GitHub Actions,Gitlab pipelines, Jenkins Experience in an Agile/DevOps environmentin collaboration with Analysts, Product Owners and ApplicationDevelopers Experience with front-end & backend testing Extensiveexperience with testing modern scripting language-based components Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills withconfidence representing QA principles within agile teams and projectleadership. Additional system desired proficiencies: Selenium,TestNG/Junit AWS QuickSight/ Redshift Terraform/AWS Cloudformation Java OnBase Eloquence Salesforce Education Requirements: Preferred: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or otherrelated area preferred. Years of Experience: A minimum of five yearsof experience with automated unit and integration testing required.Experience in testing data validation scenarios required. Exposure toAgile teamwork methods and experience in the insurance industrypreferred.
