Job Description Do you have a passion for designing and developing new frameworks/cloud services and working with Oracle's most critical customers? As a Linux OS expert in our team, you will work with a team of engineers responsible for building a new cloud service to improve collaboration among different development and operations teams. You should be a highly self-motivated individual in the team that builds and evolves this service over time with new capabilities and optimizations. A deep level of understanding will be needed across the board as this service will touch many areas ranging from hardware, OS, cloud, and security. The ideal candidate will have: u00b7 Technical experience with Linux OS and security features, distributed systems, and CI/CD pipelines at a detailed level while understanding high-level design u00b7 Good collaboration with different teams that come from different backgrounds u00b7 Clear and concise communication u00b7 Strong troubleshooting skills and a curiosity to dig deep and quickly understand new issues Career Level - IC3 Responsibilities: VISA sponsorship is not available for this role Weekend On-call rotation will be required. As a member of our global team, you will: u00b7 Design architectures and create new services that operate reliably at an extremely large scale u00b7 Implement capabilities and features ranging from OS level config changes, OS agents, and deployment pipelines u00b7 Technically strong and productive; someone who knows how to balance speed and quality with iterative and incremental improvements. u00b7 Understand operational excellence and know-how to infuse a culture of being proactive within your team. u00b7 Recommend and justify major changes to new and existing products and establish consensus with data-driven approaches. Qualifications u00b7 BS degree in CS, EE, or equivalent u00b7 5 years of industry experience developing code at the Linux OS level (agents, plugins, daemons) u00b7 Experience with Linux distros preferably Debian, open source, GitHub, deployment pipeline, terraform, ansible u00b7 Experience in Linux security and compliance u00b7 Experience in building/packaging software components. u00b7 Languages: Proficiency in any of Python, Go, C, Java, bash u00b7 Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills u00b7 Excellent written and verbal communication skills, honest and open communication u00b7 Handle hard problems with a positive
