Responsibilities The position involves inpatient and outpatient Endocrinology Medicine. The candidate will have educational responsibilities for Endocrinology fellows, Internal Medicine residents and medical students. Applicants must possess a full and unrestricted license in any state and must qualify for an academic appointment at The Albany Medical College. Duties of the position include, but are not limited to: Diagnose and treat various endocrine system disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disorders, adrenal disorders, and pituitary disorders. Provide comprehensive endocrine care to veteran patients. Conduct outpatient clinic visits and inpatient consultations. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare providers. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures relevant to endocrinology. Educate patients on disease management, lifestyle changes, and preventive measures. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions. Supervise and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows. Engage in research activities and contribute to medical knowledge in the field of endocrinology. Maintain accurate and complete medical records in compliance with VA policies. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package.
