This position requires in-depth knowledge and experience, partnering with technical and externally-facing staff and all levels of an organization, coordinating complex communications internally and externally, working independently with minimum guidance.ResponsibilitiesCreating and managing a strategic engagement planPreparing and coordinating external written communications to property owners and other stakeholders, response, dispatch and tracking of external project inquiries, and monitoring and tracking project informationEngaging and informing key internal stakeholders of the projects taking place and works to ensure a smooth execution of projectsParticipating in project team meetings including field reviews, pre-construction meetings and customer interaction in the fieldWorking with local Government & Community Relations Managers to determine appropriate public engagement strategyOrganizing external communications such as letters, collateral and presentations as needed in coordination with internal communications departments, internal management, legal, engineering, etc.Coordinating the printing and mailing of external communicationsMonitoring property owner inquiries on assigned projects and manage response and documentationLeading in the preparation and implementation of public information meetingsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degreeIn addition to bachelor's degree, five (5) years minimum of related work experienceIn lieu of bachelor's degree, high school diploma/GED AND seven (7) years minimum of related work experienceSpecific Requirements:Valid driver's licenseDesired Qualifications:Experience presenting and communicating with external audiencesAdept at dealing with a variety of individuals and escalated situationsCommunity involvement experience in a personal or professional capacityExperience designing/executing communications plansExcellent written and oral communication skillsProficient in principles of project managementPrior experience in electric transmission and distributionExperience in the utility industryDemonstrated organizational and planning skillsCustomer-specific experienceDemonstrated negotiation experienceProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to lead cross functional teamsDemonstrated problem solving and conflict management skillsAbility to effectively interact with all levels of employees, management, customers, vendors and service providers in both business and social settingsExperience in working with community organizations in a professional capacityExperience in working with mid-level, senior level management and their support staffsExperience with project and event planningPrevious budget management experienceExperience in supporting economic development opportunities.Experience with project management scheduling software.Working ConditionsAvailable for travel and to support after hours eventsFrequent travel to construction sites to meet with crews and customersAvailable to serve in an
