Facilities Specialist

The primary focus of this position is to support the manufacturing operations team by maintaining all machines and equipment in the building to ensure departments are able achieve plant production goals. The open positions are on 1st shift. Successful candidates will have a background in press maintenance with a journeyman's status or maintenance experience with robotic welding equipment. Ensure all pathways throughout the facility are clean and clear of debris.Ensure all production equipment is maintained and in working order.Perform reactive, predictive and preventative maintenance within the facility, to include but not limited to lubrication, inspections, and repair of equipment.Troubleshoot and repair machinery, electrical components, pneumatic equipment, and hydraulic equipment;Fabricate equipment using arc and gas welding techniques as needed.Observe mechanical & electrical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.Repair or replace defective parts. Lubricate and clean parts.Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Clean, paint and install safety lines and barricades within the facility.Additional facility 5S duties as assigned.High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); plus a mechanical or electrical journeyman’s card and/or minimum of 5 years of mechanical or electrical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. ​​​​​​​Proficient mechanical & electrical skills are required, in addition to basic mathematical skills. Ability to apply sizing and selection of: conduits, wiring, circuit breakers, fuses, drills and taps is required.Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data is required.Self-motivation and a demonstrated ability to work independently with little or no supervision is required.Strong teamwork and oral/written communication skills are required.Good attendance and safety record is required.
