DescriptionMachinist -Cleveland, OH-JOB 25- Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00/HRPermanent Position with Benefits.A machine job shop is hiring for a Machinist.1st Shift 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM / 2nd Shift 3:00 PM - 1:00 AMREQUIREMENTSPrograms Mill or Lathe by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.Sets-up CNC mills, CNC lathes, ACME Gridley or INDEX multi spindle machines by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices.Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices.Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.Verifies settings by measuring positions, and sample workpieces.Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following company instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions or correcting minor mechanical issues.Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job completion.Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.Due to the large amount of resumes we expect to receive only the most qualified candidates will be contacted.
