Shipping Lead - 2nd shift

DescriptionResponsibilities Include:The Warehouse Lead supports the daily operations of the distribution center by assisting the supervisor in coordinating tasks and maintaining workflow across the warehouse. This role serves as a point of contact for team members on the floor, helping ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with company standards. The Lead actively participates in warehouse tasks while providing guidance, supporting quality control, and promoting a safe and productive work environment. Assist the supervisor in coordinating daily warehouse activities and maintaining steady workflow. Serve as a resource for team members by answering process-related questions and clarifying tasks. Perform hands-on warehouse duties such as picking, packing, labeling, staging, loading, and material handling. Assist in quality control checks by reviewing orders and materials for accuracy and condition. Monitor workflow on the floor and help adjust tasks as needed to maintain productivity. Report issues, delays, or errors to the supervisor promptly. Occasionally assist in training new team members, when requested, in support of the training program. Operate warehouse equipment (such as pallet jacks and forklifts) when trained and certified. Support continuous improvement by identifying and communicating opportunities to the supervisor.Requirements2-3 years of experience in a leadership role within warehouse or distribution operations. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. Proficiency in using computers and standard business applications. (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook) Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Physical demands oMust be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. oMust be able to twist, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch frequently. oMust be able to use proper lifting techniques to lift to 50 pounds safely Must be fluent in written and spoken English
