GENERAL SUMMARYThe Café Lead position is responsible for ensuring that food service tasks are completed by associates in a timely manner while assuring the highest level of guest satisfaction possible. This is done through active and ongoing engagement with guests, helping to establish, maintain & train all service standards & systems, and genuinely striving to assure that every guest’s experience in the Café is exceptional. They will assist where needed to maintain a positive, productive work environment. Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS Assure the highest level of guest satisfaction possibleEstablish and maintain a culture of regularly engaging with all guests. Including knowing the names and preferences of as many guests as possibleHelp establish and maintain and train all service standards and systemsAssure that all service staff adheres to the same engagement expectations as defined aboveAssures that all associates are actively following the cycles of service as defined by the PRO & F&B Management TeamProvide Regular and ongoing product sampling to guests as a gesture of appreciationUnderstand and follow through with excellent service recovery practicesAccurately operate the cash registerReceive and direct telephone calls including accurate message takingPrepare and create smoothie and espresso beveragesPrepare foods offered in the CafeStock supplies, products, and utensils throughout the restaurantGeneral cleaning of the Cafe and stock areasEnsure daily tasks are completed by each cast member, including but not limited to: cleaning tasks, warm-ups & special projectsBus tables and maintain the cleanliness of the eating areasProvide world class service to members and guestsPromote teamwork as a way of life in the Food & Beverage DepartmentServe in the lead capacity when other Food & Beverage management is not presentPerforms other related duties as assigned by managementAssists in the training of other AssociatesAssure that all service standards and operating procedures are adhered to at all timesAssure that all product quality control standards are adhered to at all timesAssure that all food and beverages delivered to guests are of the highest quality standardsFollow up and report on any observed negative quality issuesAssist in various administrative duties as assigned by the Chef/Manager.Assist in monthly product inventories as neededAssist with weekly ordering of supplies when assigned by the Chef/ManagerObserve portions served and report any discrepancies to kitchen managementMonitor daily staffing levels in relation to current business volumeWorks on the line in any capacity as needed during busy periods and when staffing is at a minimumAssist Management with conducting monthly Café staff meetings and daily warm-upsPromote teamwork as a way of lifeMaintains a safe & secure environment for all associates and guestsEnsure all Serve Safe practices are followedEnsure all equipment in proper working orderMonitors and assures that all Food Worker’s Permits are current for all Café associates
