Accounts Payable Specialist

Accounts Payable Specialist (Hybrid-Larkspur, CA) **No outside recruiting agencies accepted** Primary Responsibilities and Attributes Job is Contract to hire position for 40 hours a week. Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm Must be within acceptable commute distance to Larkspur, CA as this position will require, 2 times a month, hours in the office to manage AP invoices and mail. The remaining hours can be worked remotely from home. Contract position for at least 3 months but can turn into a permanent position for the right candidate. Duties: Forensic analysis of telecom invoices inclusive of tracking, reviewing, auditing, optimizing, approving and processing for payment Ability to manage heavy volumes and often complex telecom invoices and carrier bills Initiate cost savings claims with suppliers when amounts billed deviate from contractual pricing Manage vendor and internal relationships to ensure timely payment, resolution of billing questions/issues and disputes Manage month end AP accruals Ability to work projects assigned Ability to leverage automation for efficiency and added customer benefit MUST HAVES (required to be successful in this position): Outstanding organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills Meticulous attention to detail and a sense of urgency Ability to meet deadlines on a consistent basis Working knowledge of telecom invoice AP management is preferred but will train Prior experience working remote, with adequate set up at home to work Qualifications Required: Telecom Cost experience preferred At least 3-5 years’ experience in AP AP accruals, month end 1099 experience Vendor account reconciliation Knowledge of Sales and telecom taxes com, Salesforce, and Quickbooks preferred Vendor Dispute filing and resolution Advanced Excel level spreadsheets (vlookup, pivot tables) and basic data analytics Ability to commute: Larkspur, CA 94939: Reliably commute 2 times a month minimum for hours in the office. Able to work at office full time if that is preferred. Education: Bachelor’s (Preferred) Experience: QuickBooks: 1 year (Required) Microsoft Excel: advanced (Required) Accounts payable: 3-5 years (Required) Accounting: 1 year (Preferred) Contractor Rate: $25-30/hour depending on relevant experience Full Time Salary Range: Comp potential up to $65,000 plus bonus potential and benefits depending on relevant experience To apply, send your resume and cover letter or on LinkedIn
