We're hiring experienced Welders / Fabricators with Electric Arc experience who are ready to make an impact We currently only have 2nd-Shift available Monday-Friday with core working hours from 3:30pm to 2:00am. Please note that due to the nature of our business requiring a high level of precision and quality, there is frequent mandatory overtime involving extended shifts.This position pays a competitive rate per hour, with guaranteed annual increases, plus a 10% shift differential for second shift, and opportunities for overtime.Work You'll Do:Perform manual and semi-automatic welding on ferrous metal components utilizing SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), and FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding) processes. Tasks include joint preparation, fit-up, tack welding, gas torch cutting, and final weld out in accordance with applicable welding procedures (WPS).Execute fabrication of structural and non-structural weldments, including sub-assemblies and full assemblies made from 16-gauge to heavy plate steel, adhering to mechanical drawings and customer specifications.Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, combination squares, straightedges, rulers) to lay out, position, and align components prior to welding. Use clamps, fixtures, and jigs to ensure accurate alignment and securement during terpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication blueprints to determine weld joint configurations, material requirements, and fabrication sequences.Perform all-position welding (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead) as required by project specifications.Conduct pre-weld and post-weld inspections, checking for dimensional accuracy, weld quality, and potential discontinuities using visual inspection techniques and inspection tools.Carry out routine preventive maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment, including torches, power sources, wire feeders, and grinders, and identify when corrective maintenance is required.Apply critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to resolve fabrication challenges, suggest improvements in fit-up or weld sequencing, and ensure product integrity and workflow efficiency.Perform heat-straightening and distortion control techniques to maintain dimensional tolerances during the fabrication process.Follow all safety protocols, maintain clean work areas, and support continuous improvement initiatives.Other duties as assigned, including cross-functional tasks within the fabrication department.Basic Qualifications:3+ years of relevant experience in welding and fabrication.Expertise and skill in MIG, FLUX, and STICK.A Welding Certification from an accredited institution.Ability to read and interpret Blueprints for weld fabrication required.Ability to successfully complete and pass a pre-hire weld evaluation.The interview process involves a Blueprint Reading/Interpretation test, and a hands-on welding sample.Preferred Qualifications:Strong Communicator - You speak clearly, listen well, and are confident in sharing concerns or observationsTeam Player - You work well with others, contribute to team success, and bring a sense of pride and collaborationCritical Thinker - You use logic and reasoning to troubleshoot and optimize your work#LI-RC1#LI-ONSITEWho we are:Rotex pioneered the dry separation industry and grew to become a global manufacturer of industrial separation equipment, becoming a subsidiary of Hillenbrand, Inc. in 2011.
