Duties, Responsibilities & Other KCI is seeking a motivated Entertainment Engineering Intern to join our team out of our Woodcliff Lake, NJ office for Summer 2026. This position offers hands-on experience supporting the design and development of entertainment-related projects, including unique structures and multidisciplinary engineering solutions, under the guidance of experienced engineers. Summer interns will work a 40-hour week, with at least 10 weeks of work required during the period from mid-May to the end of August. Interns will be assigned a dedicated supervisor and mentor, are required to attend planned activities, and must submit mid-summer and end-of-summer reports/presentations. Responsibilities include:Assist with the design and development of structural systems for entertainment and specialty projectsSupport testing of materials, preparation of specifications, and process studiesContribute to research investigations and the preparation of reports and technical documentationCollaborate with internal teams and external partners on multidisciplinary design and engineering projectsAssist with construction drawings for concrete, steel, and wood structuresParticipate in field activities, site observations, and construction administration tasks as neededReview input from project managers and make adjustments to design work as directedGain exposure to all phases of design and project delivery within the entertainment engineering practice Qualifications Education and/or Skills Required:• This is an entry level position where no previous experience is required.• Currently enrolled in an ABET-Accredited College Engineering ProgramEducation and/or Work Experience Preferred:• 3.0 GPA or higherCertificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:• Valid Driver’s License• Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
