See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:Position Overview:As a Manufacturing Engineer, you are the process owner and subject matter expert for one or more aluminum machining lines for an array of component parts. You will provide ongoing technical support for daily operations as well as driving continuous improvement projects to reduce costs, increase FPY, and improve process capability.At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver. :Serve as a technical resource supporting primarily aluminum machining processes to meet safety, quality, and production goals.Troubleshoot aluminum machining operations (fixtures, tooling, equipment) and coordinate corrective actions cross functionallyWork cross functionally with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and CNC Programming teams to address issues as they ariseUse Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools to drive continuous improvement of processesInvestigate, propose & manage capital projects for equipment, tooling, and fixtures for new processes or to improve existing onesAct as a liaison with product engineering & manufacturing program management as neededDevelop processes for new product from DFM through PPAPDevelop and update/maintain process documentationActively support and participate in plant safety programs and initiativesMonitor and seek resolutions for process issues, as they arise, using internal quality data systems and metrics.Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is required3-5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a machining environmentStrong mechanical as well as “hands on” aptitudeExperience with machining processes (e.g. tooling, workholding, CNC programs)Ability to interact & communicate with different functions & various levels of employeesExcellent problem solving skills & ability to prioritize projectsPC skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointGood communication skills both written and oral.Proficient with 2D CAD for floorplan planning (Autocad)Preferred Qualifications:Experience with machining processes, aluminum experience a plusExperience managing and executing capital projectsExperience in PPAP/new product launches, with a manufacturing focusASQ, SME, Lean Six Sigma certificationUnderstanding of GD&T, Reading and understanding engineering drawingsKnowledge of SPC, data analysis a plusProficient with 3D CAD (CREO)The anticipated pay range for this position is 72,000 to 115,300 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role.
