The iconic Hotel del Coronadois looking for aDoorperson to join the team Joinone of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the worldand after a$400M renovation (and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever. Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms, cottages, and villas with 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining. Classification: Seasonal Shift: Various u2013 must be availabletoweekdays, weekends, and holidays. Pay Rate: The pay rate for this role is $16.50 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location. What will I be doing? As a Doorperson, you will provide a transportation service to Guest and visitors as requested, where safety, cleanliness, and superior customer service are always included. A Doorperson contributes to the first impressions of our Guests and, therefore, must perform the following tasks to the highest standards: + Welcome Guests on arrival and assist with their luggage+ Oversee delivery and safe keeping of luggage, keep the luggage room in order+ Stay current on all hotel services as well as VIP requirements and special events+ Demonstrate a current knowledge of external locations, attractions and landmarks in the vicinity+ Provide support to the Concierge in cases of emergency+ Comply with all hotel security, fire regulations and Health and Safety legislation+ Project a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service What are we looking for?
