Shipper/Picker 1st Shift

*Shipper/Picker** RESPONSIBILITIES : - Move product to and from front warehouse storage locations as required. - Select and print required documentation required for picking and staging of product. - Load and unload trucks at all warehouse docks as required. - Perform inventory counts and document variances. - Assist with the identification of root-cause of inventory inaccuracies. - Assist with elimination of causes of inventory inaccuracies. - Work with other inventory personnel to ensure effective flow of material. - May be required to perform other job duties of the department when operationally necessary. - Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures. - Perform other duties as required. Assist the shipping department as needed to ensure outbound shipments are completed in a timely manner. **QUALIFICATIONS:** - Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator. - Experience in the inventory control field. - Experience with bar-code scanner. - Ability to work overtime as required. - Stand up and Sit-down Forklift certification. - Ability to use computer/software to review, enter and understand data transactions. - Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.) - Ability to lift/carry hand freight weighing up to 50 pounds several times a week. - Ability to sit for extended periods of time, bend, twist, squat, climb in and out of truck. - Ability to follow instructions and complete required training. - Ability to work independently and/or as a team member. PHYSICAL DEMANDS : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT : While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving and/or high temperature mechanical equipment and parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; infrequently, loud. In addition, the employee may be subject to the following: - Exposure to noise and vibration - Exposure to dust and diesel fumes - Exposure to hazardous materials shipped and packaged - Hours may vary due to operational need
