PositionOverview The Technical Services Application Scientist is responsible forproviding outstanding technical support of Exact products to ExactSciences Clinical Lab customers. This position works in collaborationwith others on troubleshooting and resolving customer assay questions orissues in a timely manner. This position will also work on transferringnew development projects and bringing enhancements of current productsand processes to the customer. This position may include approximately15% travel. Essential Duties include but are not limited to thefollowing: Receive and document incoming customer communications. Workcooperatively with the Technical Services team and when appropriateinternal functional departments to troubleshoot and resolve customerquestions or requests in the areas of reagent, consumables, and assayrelated issues. Support troubleshooting of customer issues through rootcause investigation, experiment design, study execution, data analysis,and reporting. Conduct bench level experiments within several productareas. Clearly and accurately summarize and document troubleshootingactivities or technical summary. Conduct enhancement activities ofexisting products or processes and assist in implementation of newproduct launches. Prepare reports and documentation providing theanalysis or summarization of project status and results. Assist withmetrics tracking to monitor performance of the technical services teamand quality of the product delivered to the laboratory customer. Draftand distribute content of customer communications including customernotifications and technical or service bulletins. Identify, contribute,implement, and report on improvements in processes and products.Clearly, frequently, and accurately communicate with employees andcustomers in person, via the telephone, or by email. Provide technicaland hands-on support to laboratory customers. Apply analytical andtroubleshooting skills. Ability to work in a detail-oriented manner withsolid organizational skills.
