Job SummaryWe’re looking for a reliable, safety-first Company Driver to operate a commercial 18-wheeler transporting solid waste and recyclables from transfer stations to landfills. This role demands professionalism, a strong understanding of DOT regulations, and a commitment to safe, efficient operations.?️ Key ResponsibilitiesOperate an 18-wheeler tractor-trailer on designated transfer station-to-landfill routesConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report maintenance or mechanical issuesComply with DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic lawsNavigate highways and landfill terrain in all weather conditionsMaintain accurate records: driver logs, trip sheets, weight tickets, etc.Coordinate with dispatch, landfill operators, and internal teamsProperly secure loads, operate tarps, and follow loading/unloading protocolsImmediately report any incidents, near-misses, or hazardsParticipate in all safety meetings, training, and compliance audits✅ QualificationsValid Class A CDL with a clean driving record1-2 years of experience operating tractor-trailersLandfill or transfer station experience preferredCurrent DOT Medical Examiner’s CertificateFamiliar with DOT Hours of Service rules and electronic logging devices (ELDs)Comfortable maneuvering in tight or congested areasAttention to detail and strong safety focusCapable of working both independently and within a team? Physical RequirementsAble to sit for extended periods while drivingMust climb in and out of the truck multiple times dailyComfortable with exposure to noise, odors, weather, and landfill conditions? Work ScheduleFull-Time positionRoutes vary depending on location and landfill hoursOvertime may be requiredUp to USD $29.00/Hr.
