Electrician/Maintenance Technician

Industrial maintenance backgroundpreferred, withgeneral mechanicalaptitude helpful.Pay range $30 - $40/hour, depending on qualifications and experience.Install & repairelectrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildingsInstalls conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cablesEnsures piping complies with electrical codes; replaces conduit, wiring, and circuit breakers as neededTroubleshooting equipment problemsand making necessary repairs to restore equipment to proper operating conditionsRead/interpret engineering drawings and manuals to install, calibrate and maintain electrical apparatus. Work in complex engineering and manufacturing drawings or manuals to complete projects and assigned work.Perform installation or repair work on motors, wiring and control cabinets, along with mobile equipment such as forklifts, pay loaders, and skid steer loadersMechanical abilities, mobile equipment repair, welding, andgeneral maintenance knowledgea bonus3+ years of work experience in trade profession or industrial maintenance.High school diploma or equivalent.Able to demonstrate strong proficiency in troubleshooting and maintenance activities.Valid electricians license preferred but not required.Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Solid understanding of basic computer functions and office software applications.Flexibility to work overtime and be on-call as needed.Advanced technical training through trade school or higher education; willingness to learn new skills through ongoing training.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this classification.
