Patient Service SpeicalistRehab Aide Responsibilities as wellGilbert, ArizonaLocation: 2940 E Banner Gateway Dr., Suite 425 Gilbert, AZ 85234Position Type: Full TimeSchedule: Monday-FridayCompensation: $18-$20/hour based on experienceWhen patients enter our outpatient physical therapy center, we want them to have an exceptional experience - starting at the front desk. That’s where you come in. As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and business side of our center. Don’t underestimate the impact you can make on every patient’s care experience, even before they leave the waiting room.Carries out activities delegated by supervisor as allowed under State Practice Acts following Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines. Cleans, sterilizes and prepares equipment in accordance with company policy and guidelines.Check out the video below for additional insight into the work of our Patient Service Specialists!Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check outSchedule patient appointments in person and via phoneRegular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders and business development teamCollect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verificationsMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required1 Year of Medical Office ExperiencePreferred Qualifications:Bilingual (English/Spanish Speaking)Insurance Verification ExperiencePhysical Requirements:Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shiftAppropriate manual dexterity to enable typing (including10-key) throughout a work day/shiftAbility to lift up to 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanicsAbility to carry office supplies up to 10lbsVisual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written directionAbility to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directionsSelect Medical is committed to having a workforce that reflects diversity at all levels and is an equal-opportunity employer.
