Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician - Up to $31/hrWe are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining various food-grade equipment, ensuring their optimal performance.ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance on rollers, grinding machines, mixing tanks, batch tanks, dumpers, piston fillers, filling machines, chain drives, cutting equipment, conveyors, and other proprietary equipment.Conduct 80% mechanical and 20% electrical maintenance on machines.Change bearings, sprockets, chains, and troubleshoot pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, valves, sensors, and pumps.Realign machines and conveyors.Use a volt meter and perform basic wiring of machines for electrical maintenance.Read blueprints and hydraulic symbols.Lift items up to 50 lbs.Perform general shop clean-up and general building maintenance as needed.Essential Skills4+ years of industrial experience.Ability to mechanically troubleshoot industrial equipment.Proficiency in troubleshooting industrial machinery and performing preventive maintenance.High school diploma or GED.Ability to operate boom lifts, scissor lifts, and JLG lifts up to 15 ft.Work EnvironmentWork at a food processing facility that manufactures canned goods such as Vienna Sausage, various chilis, hamburger meat, and LaChoi noodles. The position is available on the 2nd shift, from 3 PM to 10:45 PM. Expect to work 6 days a week for three weeks out of each month, with approximately 50 hours a week. This is a direct hire position with a shift premium for both 2nd and 3rd shifts.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $46467.20 - $64459.20/yr.1. 1 week of vacation after 1st 6 months2. Union plant - (United Food Commercial Workers)3. 120 days until hired into union4. Benefits start after 90 days5. Benefits - Blue Cross Blue Shield6. Weekly Pay7. Great Education Program - Workers and their families can go to school for free. Will go to a local University.
