Business Analyst

Description We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our team in Riviera Beach, Florida. This is a long-term contract position within the transport industry, offering an exciting opportunity to bridge technical and functional teams. The role requires expertise in gathering requirements, documenting processes, and supporting system implementations for marine insurance and cargo workflows. Responsibilities: u2022 Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure smooth communication and understanding of requirements. u2022 Conduct thorough requirements gathering sessions with functional users and translate findings into detailed documentation for development purposes. u2022 Develop and maintain documentation of current and future business processes, including user procedures. u2022 Provide training and ongoing support to end users throughout the lifecycle of system implementation projects. u2022 Assist in the implementation of the Seven Seas information system, focusing on cargo and marine insurance workflows. u2022 Support financial system integrations, including Oracle PeopleSoft applications, as needed. u2022 Act as the primary liaison between functional business teams and technical developers to facilitate project success. u2022 Participate in change request management and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business operations. u2022 Perform gap analysis to identify areas for process optimization and system enhancements. Requirements u2022 Proven experience as a Business Analyst, particularly in insurance-related fields such as marine, cargo, or property and casualty. u2022 Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to convey complex requirements effectively. u2022 Demonstrated expertise in gathering and analyzing business requirements. u2022 Familiarity with creating detailed business process documentation and user procedures. u2022 Experience working as the intermediary between technical development teams and business users. u2022 Knowledge of marine insurance systems, such as Seven Seas or similar tools, is highly desirable. u2022 Exposure to Oracle Financials, PeopleSoft, or similar financial systems is a plus. u2022 Hands-on experience with full-cycle application implementation, from requirements gathering to go-live.
