Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment in Hialeah, Florida. This role involves managing a team to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate brings expertise in both private and public accounting, with a strong preference for experience in the manufacturing sector. Responsibilities: u2022 Lead and manage a team of up to 10 accounting and finance staff, fostering collaboration and efficiency. u2022 Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards. u2022 Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure operational integrity. u2022 Collaborate with leadership to provide insights and recommendations on financial strategies and business performance. u2022 Monitor and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning processes. u2022 Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry-specific standards. u2022 Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. u2022 Support the implementation of financial systems and tools to streamline operational processes. u2022 Provide mentorship and training to team members to enhance their attention to detail and growth. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in a Controller role within a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. u2022 Background in both private and public accounting, showcasing a well-rounded financial expertise. u2022 Strong leadership skills with a history of managing teams effectively. u2022 Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. u2022 Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and internal controls. u2022 Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. u2022 Effective communication skills to interact with team members and senior leadership. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
