Job Title: Project Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Project Engineer to join our team supporting the Everglades Restoration Program. This position will involve working on a large pump station project for the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD). The Project Engineer will play a critical role in managing submittals, requests for information, daily reports, and coordination between subcontractors. Additionally, the Project Engineer will provide support to the Project Manager and Project Superintendent and will periodically update job progress reports, the Submittal Log, and a 4 Week Look Ahead. This role also offers the opportunity to act as the Project Manager when the Project Manager is not present on the job site. Responsibilities + Manage submittals, requests for information, and daily reports. + Coordinate activities between subcontractors. + Support the Project Manager and Project Superintendent. + Update job progress reports, Submittal Log, and 4 Week Look Ahead. + Assist with running the project in the absence of the Project Manager. Essential Skills + Bacheloru2019s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. + Minimum of 1+ years of experience on construction projects, preferably in civil or mechanical fields. + Proficiency with RFI, submittals, material take-off, blueprints/drawings, field inspections, and reading elevation. + Excellent computer skills; preferred experience with P6 Software, Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar software. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and/or South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) is a plus. Work Environment The Project Engineer will work at a construction site, potentially at either the G-6A Pump Station or the S-623 Pump Station, with a job trailer located at 12351 US-27, South Bay, FL. The role involves collaboration with a team including Quality Control, Site Safety, Superintendent, and administrative staff. Work hours are typically from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (4:30 PM), with occasional weekend work on Saturdays. The position requires wearing personal protective equipment such as a hard hat, steel-toe boots, work pants, company shirt, safety vest, gloves, and safety glasses. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $38.46/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
