Description: The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program is seeking an Lead Electronics Engineer to join the Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) team. Location:This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility at one of the Coolest places to work: Cape Canaveral FL and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time. - - - Space is a critical domain, connecting our technologies, our security, and our humanity. This is a lead role for an experienced professional working to sustain legacy test consoles that verify mission packages meet all requirements as built. In this role the you will lead a team of engineers, interface with internal organizations, and interface with our customer set, supporting the FBM program for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). Use your strong electrical engineering skills to work with all project partners and define the future for FBM - - - Key activities you will accomplish in this role: u2022 Utilize your engineering knowledge and troubleshooting skills to sustain test consoles and support FBM production testing. u2022 Lead design updates to existing test consoles when obsolescence or operational inefficiencies are identified. u2022 Serve as the technical point of contact for multiple consoles with Responsibility, Accountability, and Authority (RAA). u2022 Support Failure Review Board activities through closure as the cognizant authority. u2022 Interface with suppliers, customer and internal design teams to maintain console operational status u2022 Mentor Junior engineers, interface extensively with out customers, as well as senior leadership. u2022 Must be willing to travel approximately 25%. - - - To be effective in this role, you will need: u2022 Experience in both design and test of electrical hardware u2022 5+ years professional experience. u2022 While no clearance is needed to start this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance . US Citizenship is required. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education u2022 Strong technical background with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or other similar systems. u2022 Experience with troubleshooting technical issues with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or similar systems. u2022 Experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Python u2022 Experience in one or more of the following: Windchill, JIRA, Confluence, CREO, Zuken Desired Skills: u2022 Demonstrated ability to lead/coordinate with small diverse teams in sustainment of tech products. u2022 Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. u2022 Must be able to work autonomously, drive items to closure, and lead teams through task completion. u2022 Previous experience with supplier technical support, travel for troubleshooting, and remote troubleshooting. u2022 Previous experience communicating and presenting to senior management. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
