Join Cleveland Clinic's Martin North Hospital where research and surgery are advanced, technology is leading-edge, patient care is world-class, and caregivers are family. This downtown Stuart hospital provides top-quality patient care to the communities in and around Martin County on the beautiful Indian River. The caregivers at Martin North Hospital have made it not only an excellent medical facility, but also a home away from home. As a Physical Therapist, you will utilize various exercises to help patients increase strength, range of motion, endurance and coordination. Because this position requires close interaction, you have the opportunity to build strong relationships with both patients and their families. Often, your patients are dealing with pain, so sensitivity is important. Ultimately, your unconditional support and reassurance can drive them to work hard and regain their health. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working days varying between 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. or 9:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. _This is a 3-day per week role, with 8-hour workdays and flexible start and end times._ _Due to current business needs, the role may require working across multiple sites rather than being fixed to a single location._ A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs. + Interpret plans and supervise patient treatments in accordance with the physician referral, ensuring the care, safety and wellbeing of the patient. + Review and evaluate the patient's response or lack thereof to treatment. + Make recommendations to the physician relative to the need to continue or discontinue physical therapy treatment. + Provide appropriate documentation of each patient's visit in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. + Be responsible for the maintenance and care of all equipment and apparatus. + Be responsible for the economical use of supplies, linens and utilities. + Provide appropriate billing for each patient visit in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. + Assist in on-the-job training of all ancillary personnel. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor's Degree or certificate + Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association or a related international degree + Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) + Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross + Internship experience Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Vestibular or lymphedema experience Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
