This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. A Warehouse Material Handler accurately receives, stores, secures and disburses materials and supplies within the warehouse. Other duties to include: A. Accurately checks quantities and/or weights of all shipments received to ensure that the materials and supplies ordered were received and agree with purchase order quantity; B. Gathers, issues and retrieves and stocks materials and supplies used in the construction of lines; 1. Issues materials and supplies itemized on staking sheet; 2. Issues reusable materials and supplies back to stock for future use; 3. Properly disposes of non-usable materials and supplies. C. Properly completes necessary documents to account for materials and supplies; D. Ensures work areas are maintained in a neat and orderly manner, and all materials are kept in assigned areas; E. Informs the Supervisor of Materials and Purchasing when inventory levels are either too high or low, based on Cooperative standards; F. Participates in inventory audits, as directed; G. Directs and ensures the pickup and shipment of reclosers, meters, transformers and regulators that are to be exchanged or repaired; (provides the Supervisor of Materials and Purchasing with information for proper record keeping); H. Maintains control of hand tools and emergency items and issues them only as required; I. Maintains a supply of gasoline, lubricants and parts for operation and maintenance of equipment; provides the Supervisor of Materials and Purchasing with information for proper recordkeeping; J. Operates the forklift, motorized warehouse equipment and other equipment safely and in compliance with Cooperative standards and manufacturer's instructions; K. Maintains availability for emergency situations to issue supplies to crews, as required; L. Establishes and maintains acceptable safety standards in accordance with Cooperativepolicy. **MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS: All requirements are subject to modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities. Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves or other employees. **Requires a High School Diploma/Equivalent. Prefer a minimum of one year experience in warehousing or electric line construction responsibilities. Requires that a working knowledge of an electrical distribution system and materials, apparatus and equipment used in the construction and maintenance of electric distribution lines be acquired duringsix-month evaluation. Requires the ability to maintain accurate records; excellent interpersonal skills for working with fellow employees; excellent organizing and written communication skills. Requires that the knowledge of Southern Pine Electric Cooperative's policies and procedures be acquired during six-month evaluation.** Requires the ability to have and maintain a valid driver's license and/or a commercial driver's license, and to pass and maintain DOT certifications. Requires the ability to successfully pass Southern Pine Electric Cooperative's employment entrance examination and drug screen. **WORKING CONDITIONS: Both inside and outside work in various weather conditions; **requires flexibility to be available for overtime, and to work during emergency situations as necessary.** Requires the physical ability in stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, defined heavy work. Requires visual acuity in machine operation (a) and (c). Exposure to outside environmental conditions on an infrequent basis. **WORKING **RELATIONSHIPS:** Internal: Two-way communication with immediate supervisor for approvals, training, and direction; with other personnel to provide and obtain warehousing information; as required by immediate supervisor. External: Demonstrates an awareness that the job exists to effectively serve each and every me ber, and to achieve increased member and public understanding for support of the Cooperative. *********
