Itu2019s Work That Matters. Overview Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Licensed Psychologist I, provides mental health evaluation and treatment for children, adolescents, and families in the department or divisionu2019s area of focus. Provides psychological/developmental assessments as needed. May provide individual and group supervision to pre- and postdoctoral psychology trainees. Teaching duties include didactic presentations; community presentations; and participation in staff/supervisor meetings at which teaching & training programs are developed. Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: u2022 Supervised professional experience providing therapy to a child, adolescent, and/or pediatric psychology population is required. u2022 Previous consultation and liaison experience within a medical setting is strongly preferred. u2022 Knowledge of the various psychosocial aspects of commonly referred medical conditions is strongly preferred. u2022 Experience supervising trainees is preferred. Training in Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP) is strongly preferred. u2022 Experience conducting psychological and developmental assessments is preferred. Prefer bilingual competence (Spanish/English). u2022 Completion of an APA accredited internship Clinical Experience For Psychologists: At least 1 year of clinical experience (beginning at the post-doctoral level), with a significant portion of that time spent working in pediatric psychology or child and adolescent populations. Specialty Areas: Training in Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT) is strongly preferred Education/Licensure/Certification: u2022 Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D., in School, Counseling, or Clinical Psychology; prefer education from an APA-accredited program. u2022 Licensed Psychologist in the State of California or license eligible where applicants must have received completed their licensure by their anticipated start date. u2022 American Heart Association BLS Certification required. Pay Scale Information $99,008.00-$169,728.00 CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidateu2019s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
