As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will:Develop detailed design and integration of electrical/electronic systems, sub-systems and componentsSupport validation and verification activities at component, sub-system, and system test eventsConduct Systems Engineering activities including requirements definition and electrical architecture developmentProvide engineering support to system production in manufacturing environmentResearch, plan, design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic and electrical systems Perform complex calculations and develop complex engineering models and representationsPrepare and approve engineering drawingsConduct or lead portions of requirements development, architecture development, interface management, verification, and validationWork with stakeholders to ensure products meet cost, schedule, performance and quality requirementsContribute to internal and external technical reviewsUse advanced modeling and analysis tools to develop product specifications, models, simulations, technical data packages, and integration and verification procedures Evaluate vendor capabilities, technologies, services and ability to deliver required products or servicesRecommend design approaches for new or improved products and processes Provide engineering consultation to other technical groupsConduct and support subsystem and system integration and verification activities, manufacturing and test planning, and failure analysisAnalyze and interpret design specifications, drawings, documentation, models, and/or test results to ensure technical designs comply with applicable engineering standards, military specifications and product requirementsRequired Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field and four years relevant experience or two years relevant experience with master's degreeExperience in creating, reading, and comprehending schematics and interconnect drawingsAbility to create and manage interface control documentsAbility to solve complex technical problemsOrganizational skills to successfully manage the release of drawings, author engineering orders, and track changesAbility to operate in cross-functional engineering tasks (electrical, mechanical, systems)Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey data, information, and technical results to customersLeadership abilities and interpersonal skillsAbility to travel to military test sites to support testingPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills Systems Engineering and manufacturing knowledgeLow voltage (28Vdc) power distribution and management (Solid State Power Controller/Programmable Power Controller)Working knowledge of design for environmental qualification including EMI/EMC design and qualification principlesSAEJ1939, CANBus, MIL-STD-1553, 10/100 and Gigabit Ethernet Protocols and equipmentVehicle Signal management (Sensor/Transducer Input/Output signal management) including support for diagnostics and prognosticsIntegration of military communication/antenna systems including BFT, SINCGARS, DAGR, CREW2Experience using lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, network analyzers, CANbus analyzers, data acquisition) for test and verificationExperience with engineering design of wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for military vehiclesExperience interfacing with and/or managing suppliersPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
