We are increasing our footprint rapidly through both organic growth and acquisitions and seek candidates who are looking for a long-term career path and capable of growing into roles of greater responsibility.Position SummaryThe Warehouse Manager will report to the National Distribution manager and be responsible for managing our Cape Girardeau warehouse and all related processes, including receiving, storing, and distributing inventory. This includes overseeing all daily activities within the warehouse such as inbound and outbound shipping, labeling, and storing parts, picking work orders, verifying accurate inventory counts, and ensuring that we always achieve our delivery goals. The ideal candidate will have an automotive background and proven experience as a warehouse manager. Currently this includes a staff of 45, a fleet of 25 trucks and a 100K square foot facility, but we are growing!ResponsibilitiesManage the daily activities of the 100K square foot facility, including all shipping and receiving functionsHire, supervise, train and mentor warehouse employees. The current staff includes 45 employees.Ensure that all employees are trained on safe work practices and that those safe work practices are followed to support a safe work environmentSet priorities, goals, and deadlines to ensure we are meeting or exceeding SLAs at all timesMonitor in-stock positions and react to inventory needs to ensure store delivery schedules are metReceive shipments, log into inventory, and maintain inventory levels through consistent auditsDevelop and maintain inventory/security controls to prevent shrinkage/lossAssist in accurately pulling, filling, packing, and staging ordersOrganize shipment priorities and stage orders in uniform fashion for ease of loading and verificationAssist with the loading of delivery trucksManage driver-related issues including drug screens & licensing and handles fleet issues including DOT complianceMaintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area as well as maintaining the warehouse in a safe, secure, and organized mannerManage Safety and HAZMAT compliance for the facilityProcesses returns accurately and in a timely mannerOrder uniforms, wheels and lug nuts and other items if necessaryPay certain warehouse specific billsHelp schedule building maintenanceEnsure all equipment is stored and secured at the end of dayEnsure preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and warehouse equipmentMaintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as requiredAssist with the implementation of a new Warehouse Management System and ensure teammates are trained accordinglyAdditional duties as assigned requiredRequirements3+ years of supervisory and warehouse management experienceAutomotive parts and tires experience is a plusDelivery operations experience and knowledge of warehousing systemsThe ability to communicate effectively with the store team and managementAble to work independently while making decisions and optimizing processes for efficiency and accuracyStrong MS Office skillsExperience with warehouse inventory software, Motive and Paycom and CintasAbility to work at heights and regularly move and lift up to 100 poundsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalNeed to be able to operate a manual vehiclePrior forklift experience preferredWill need to have a flexible schedule and be able to work some Saturdays.BenefitsAt Sun Auto we recognize that benefits play a vital role in helping ensure the health and financial security of employees and their families.
