Physician (Breast Imaging / General Radiologist) - Atlanta VA Health Care SystemLocation: Atlanta, GeorgiaPosition Type: Full-TimeSchedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.SummaryThe Atlanta VA Health Care System is seeking a Board-Certified Breast Imaging Specialist or a General Radiologist with MQSA Certification to join our dynamic Radiology Department. This position plays a key role in supporting women’s health and comprehensive diagnostic imaging services for our nation’s Veterans.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Radiologist will be responsible for providing a full range of breast imaging and general radiology services. Duties include, but are not limited to:Protocoling and interpreting breast imaging studies including screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasounds, and breast MRIsPreparing and reviewing detailed imaging reports for referring physiciansPerforming breast procedures such as stereotactic-guided, ultrasound-guided, and MRI-guided biopsies, as well as Savi Scout localizationsCollaborating with referring clinicians to discuss diagnostic findings and treatment optionsEnsuring optimal image quality by working closely with mammography, ultrasound, and MRI technologistsMaintaining compliance with MQSA, ACR, and VA standards for quality and safety in breast imagingQualificationsMust pass pre-employment drug screening, physical examination, and background/security investigationProficiency in written and spoken EnglishCompletion of all onboarding and employment verification processesU.S. CitizenshipEducation: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution recognized by the Department of Veterans AffairsLicensure: Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in any U.S. state or territoryResidency Training: Completion of an accredited residency in Diagnostic Radiology (ACGME, AOA, or equivalent as approved by the VA)Board Certification: Board certified (or eligible) in Diagnostic RadiologyEnglish Language Proficiency: Proficient in spoken and written EnglishPreferred ExperienceFellowship training in Breast Imaging strongly preferredMinimum 3 years of experience interpreting mammograms, breast ultrasounds, and breast MRIsExperience performing image-guided breast biopsiesStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teamsDemonstrated commitment to quality, teaching, and Veteran-centered careArrow ARC supports Veterans Health Administration facilities and offices across the U.S. with health care staffing and program support via the 10-year Integrated Critical Staffing Program (ICSP).
