You will be responsible for activities associated with delivery of software solutions associated with customer-defined systems and software projects by working in close collaboration with software developers/engineers, stakeholders, and end users within Agile processes.Designing, developing, and implementing custom software and database application capabilities for a variety of legacy and modernized systems with limited oversightActing as a member of a product team supporting teammates and collaborating with a do what it takes attitude to ensure product and team successProviding improvements to the product(s) being supportedActively participate in release and sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations and retrospectives and solution releasesSupporting release planning with conceptual design and development / refinement of software engineering guidelinesAnalyzing complex project-related problems and creating innovative solutions involving, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools and solution componentsEnsuring product quality and timeliness of work, providing advice and guidance, resolving problems to meet objectives, and providing periodic performance reportsProviding mentoring to junior members of the teamBridge the gap between user interface design and technical implementationCreate reusable libraries, develop interactive and responsive interfaces, implement complex solutions, encouraging quality code through conducting reviews/leading tests, and applying beautiful visualizations to solutionsBachelor Degree +7 years of experienceUS Citizenship Required to obtain Public TrustDHS CBP Public Trust preferredProficiency in Java 8 or higher, including an in-depth understanding of OOP principles, data structures, and algorithms.Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and other modules, including dependency injection and aspect-oriented programming.Strong knowledge of designing and implementing RESTful APIs, including standards, versioning, and documentation.Familiarity with testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, and Mockito.In-depth knowledge of the Angular frameworkMust have expert experience in the following programming languages/libraries: Angular, Typescript, JavaScript, CSS and HTMLKnowledge of creating Angular components, services, good understanding of state management and UI performanceExperience with Java; Familiarity with any of the following: Hibernate (or other ORM), JAX-RS, JavaScript, XML, JSON, Web-Services (JAX-WS or JAX-RS), JBoss, Eclipse, maven, junit, and shell scriptingObject oriented design and development (OODD) expertise, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)Communicating OODD and SOA principles and best practicesWorking on unusually complicated problems and providing solutions that are highly creative and ingenious, exhibiting ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulnessActing independently to expose and resolve problemsExperience with source code control systems and concurrent development workflows (Git preferred)Experience using SQL or PL/SQL to access Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server databasesExperience with data base designAbility to apply estimation techniques to software development effortsWorking knowledge of and ability to assist others in the use of software engineering tools to support process improvementUnderstanding of all elements of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release managementEOE/M/F/VET/DISABLEDAll qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
