Through partnership and trust, we increase mission success for warfighters and help secure our nation’s future.Credence has an immediate need for a AI/ML Engineer at the senior level to support the U-2 Airframe Forecasting Dashboard. We are supporting the Air Force by developing a forecasting dashboard powered by AI. This will be delivered initially as a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) in IL-2, with plans to scale to IL-4 in AWS. The product will feature chatbots, dashboards, alerts/notifications, and reports, focusing on demand forecasting, inventory and stock issues, maintenance tracking, and data analysis.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI and ML models and systemsTranslate business requirements into technical solutions across multiple federal missionsOversee the AI/ML development lifecycle, including architecture design, experimentation, and performance optimizationCollaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Data Engineering, Cybersecurity) to integrate AI into production environmentsProvide technical mentorship and conduct code/design reviews for junior and mid-level engineersResearch and evaluate emerging AI/ML tools, technologies, and frameworks to drive innovationEnsure all solutions meet federal security, compliance, and cloud architecture standardsMaster’s degree in AI, Machine Learning, or a related fieldMinimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML solution developmentDemonstrated experience leading AI/ML initiatives or technical teamsStrong understanding of agentic AI including Transformers, Model Context Protocol, Agent2Agent Protocol, LangGraph, and other modern frameworks.Proficiency in Python and Typescript for application development and advanced scripting,Experience deploying AI solutions in AWS, Azure, or GCP environmentsFamiliarity withCI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps principlesExperience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Git, Jira)Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a DoD Secret clearancePreferred QualificationsStrong understanding of data engineering and data modeling conceptsExperience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or TableauKnowledge of cybersecurity principles, Zero Trust Architecture, RMF and FedRAMP compliancePrior experience with federal or public sector digital modernization projectsFamiliarity with Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, or service-oriented architecture (SOA) frameworksPlease join us, as together we build a better world one mission at a time powered by Technology and its People!Locations: Hybrid : McLean VA, Hanscom AFB - Bedford Mass, Warner Robins, GA#LI-Hybrid#Credence #veteranemployment #militaryspouse #milspouse #hireavet #militaryveteran #militaryfriendly #transitioningmilitary #veterans #militarytransition #militaryfamilies #msep #militarytocivilian #military #federalcontractingjobs #defensecontracting #defenseindustryjobs
