Transport patients and clients in a safe, efficient and positive customer- focused manner. May provide courier services between clinic sites.Assist riders in mounting and/or dismounting vehicle including installing and securing child safety seatsMaintain transportation schedules for patientsMaintain transportation logs and submit to supervisor on a monthly basisEnsure regular maintenance is performed and any mechanical issues are addressed immediately, including cleaningEnforce no eating, drinking or smoking policy by riders inside vanComplete and submit vehicle inspection reportsMinimumHigh school graduate or equivalentBilingual English/SpanishValid California driver’s license and proof of auto insuranceClean driving record for a minimum period of three years prior to hire; must maintain clean driving record throughout employmentCurrent CPR certification.Must successfully complete initial training programRequired Skills/Knowledge/AbilitiesThorough knowledge of VCC facility locations and San Diego’s North County areaAbility to read/interpret directional maps (e.g., Thomas Bros) and to use GPS systemsStrong customer focused communication skillsAbility to drive safely in inclement weatherDemonstrated dependability, ability to meet deadlines and adherence to all safety regulationsExperience/familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel), business e-mail communication systems and internet search capabilitiesPay Range$21.00 - $22.00 per hour
